Cinematic Spaces: Metropole Thumbnails (70 - 85)

These thumbnails are from my previous ones. I added colours to see the kind of style I wanted.

Looking into concept art from Disney's animated films such as Pocahontas and Princess and the Frog, I have decided to narrow my choice of colours to complementary and monochromatic ones as I think it will be most effective in the dark and distorted environment my book was set in. I will focus on these types of colours in my next set of thumbnails.

  1. Hey Ayunie - I was drawn to these immediately! Have you thought of using some of your thumbnails as start points for bigger drawings - so for example, taking 79 or 83 back into Photoshop, copy-pasting it into a new 16:9 canvas and then 'growing' more of your world from that drawing? I think this might be another nicely instinctive way of upping the scale of your spaces.

    1. Hi Phil,

I took some other scenes though and brought in to 16 : 9 canvas but I shall take the ones you mentioned too to maximise the use of the spaces available. At the same time, I shall try out variations of monochromatic colours.

      Thank you! :)
