Minor Project: Girl (Side Character- Redone)

This is the side character, model completed.

Minor Project: Girl (Side Character)

This is my side character where you would see her for only a couple of seconds, giving my main character a high five. I came up with this character over summer but I realised there was several problems in construction, and hence I have gone back to her model to fix it.

Minor Project: More Character Concept Art

I realised I did not post my third concept art which I previously did.

As I further begin to understand my character, I thought of doing another concept art of her enjoying herself in the rain.

Minor Project: Character (Clothing- Colour Palette)

From design 6, I've gone to add some colours to the clothes. I quite like #1 and #5.

Minor Project: Character (Clothing)

Initially I. thought that the clothes were okay (previous design is #3) but the more I looked at it and know my character, I feel that it did not match my character.

Hence, I explored more options and I want to go with #6 direction as the style fits my character more and the cut of the outfit suits my character's body shape. Also, I would have her holding her coat of which I am not sure I want her to wear it or not.

Minor Project: Character Expressions

From my previous expression sheet, I had the base of my character to always be smiling. I even did some sad faces with that base shape but unfortunately it is unsuccessful because the cheeks were so supposed to droop a little. Hence, for this set of expression sheets, I tried maintaining the volume she has on her cheeks and explored on the facial expressions. I also tried drawing a couple of expressions from different angles.

Minor Project: Character Sketches

For my character, I have decided that I would like to have her curvaceous and chubby so I've started some initial sketches to explore her in different clothes and shoes.

I've also sketch some expressions to give myself a sense of her character.

Summer Work (Character of a Child)

I spent my summer doing lots of travelling and not doing much work so here's what I've been up to in between my travels. As I gave some thought for my final year project, I was thinking of doing a child character so I did my readings on proportions and how to draw them as I know this is not my strongest point.

I decided to model my character because I wanted to get myself back to modelling, skinning and rigging, all in preparation for the final year. Also, I wanted to familiarise myself with the new Maya 2016 so that I would not be so lost when uni starts in a few week's time.

Adaptation B: Ishtar Lighting

This is some lighting test of my character. As she is entering the underworld, I was trying to create a dark light coming from the front and sunlight from the back to show she is in two worlds.

Adaptation B: Ishtar Texturing

This is my character textured. I will still need to improve on the wings because right now, the fur that has been attached to it is looking weird. I will also have to move the robe to be on the body as it seems floating on it right now.

Adaptation B: Ishtar Facial Rigging Completed

This is my character's facial rig set up.
