This is my final rendered scene but I am having difficulty with the glow. I've checked all my settings and it is the same as the ones in the tutorials. As I have candle lamps around my lair, I would need it to emit light and glow. After rendering the whole scene, my glow doesn't appear. It only appears when I select a region of it to render. What could possibly be the problem though?

Hi Ayunie,
ReplyDeleteDoes the glow object have a light affecting it? If not, then the glow won't render. The second render appears to have an ambient light in the scene, which is washing out some of your colours, but also lighting the glow object and thus producing a glow. Try selecting this ambient light and breaking light links with all objects except the glow object.
Hey Jordan. It is the same exact render. I didn't change any settings except to render a region. Don't know why I am getting the different effects though.
DeleteHi Ayunie - not helping with your problem - sorry - but I did just want to suggest that maybe you need to think about bringing out the chair a little? That area in the bottom right hand corner looks a bit 'dead' in terms of lighting - it doesn't want huge amounts, but I think it needs lifting and enriching visually - just to give it more importance.
ReplyDeleteThank Phil for the feedback. Will put some lighting to that part of the composition :)
