Major Project: Ending Scene Render Test

I decided to do a render test for the ending scene and though it looked fine in playblast, I was not able to accurately tell if the shadows were working properly.

From this render, I found the problems and currently doing another render after adjustments made to the door and correcting the spotlight's cone angle.

Major Project: Swear Scene Rethink

After talking to Rosalyn and Anthony about this scene in my previz. I am going to have a make over for the scene. Here's a rough idea of the changes.

"And not swear in the street

 And set a good example for the children"

I will build the interior of the cars too. Also, I think I am going to exaggerate her actions by having her hit the bonnet of the car.

This is another edit to the previz with new shots added into it and it has also been edited with sound effects. 

This line of the poem is still in need of adjustments because of its weird composition.

"And gobble up samples in shops and press alarm bells"

YPGTTO: Speed Paint Challenge #10 (The Harp District)

I decided to take up on the speed paint challenge and tried a new method of art style that I am used to.

Major Project: Terrible Shirt Scene Animation

The other scene that I had to rethink about was

 "You can wear terrible shirts and grow more fat"

Initially, I had her walking down the street and she went in a phonebooth. I was not able to justify why she entered the phone booth so I gave this sentence a rethink. So instead of her walking down the street, I have her crossing the street and I will exaggerate her actions when she crosses it. Since one of her attitude is that she cannot be bothered, I will have her slumberly crossing it.

This is another edit of the previz. There are a couple of scenes I have to rethink in terms of the composition and the animations, which are:

This is the spit scene. The hand movements has some tweaking to be done and her spitting action will be exaggerated slightly.

In a previous discussion, I was asked to look into this scene again and here's my new take on it.

For this scene, and with suggestion from Sukhi, I changed her to riding a scooter instead of the shopping cart to show more youthfulness and playfulness.

This is the street scene textured and lighted. The scene that's currently being worked on is based on the line:

"And make up for the sobriety of my youth"

In this change, I've changed on how she acts within the scene and I think this looks better than previous animation.

I am still in the midst of finessing this skip cycle but because I am working in sections. In this video, I have worked on her lowerbody, less mechanical than the previous but more improvements are to be made.
